This session features Marley, a petite Labrador / Catahoula mix who has been a member of our family for the past 13 years. When my husband and I moved to Ohio from Texas, Marley, then still a puppy, came with us.  In those early Ohio days, Marley forged a bond with my mother that proved to be unshakeable. A somewhat high strung dog to begin with, Marley began to show signs of mild depression after the arrival of our daughter.  It became clear that while she would never hurt our child, she did not enjoy living in a household with children. My mom was delighted to take Marley home with her at long last, and Marley has been very happy with the arrangement as well.

Now a senior dog, Marley has been in somewhat declining health over the past year or so. I felt now was a good time to capture this quirky little dog and her gentle spirit so that we would all have some beautiful images to remember her by when time and old age finally claim her. Here is a sample of just a few of the images we captured.

As a Mother’s Day gift this year, I had this beautiful image printed on fine art Hahnemuhle art rag and custom framed for my mom to hang in her new home.  Truly an heirloom quality piece that will be treasured by all of us in the years to come!
